In this episode, Jasmine Jin interviews two members of the community on the latest conflicts between Armenia and Azerbaijan. FSHA’s Renee Deramerian ‘22 and Prep’s Sareen Armenian ‘22 graciously discuss their experiences growing up as Armenian-Americans as well as the current crisis and ways non-Armenians can help support. Their experience highlights the lack of representation and attention towards Middle-Eastern and near-Eastern experiences in American media, but they also offer solutions on how we can do better to support the Middle-Eastern and near-Eastern members of our community.
